Meet Aunt Khao

Ms. Uraiwan Kaeso — known to all as Aunt Khao — has spent decades rescuing dogs that no one else would take. She walks these grounds every day, knows every animal by name.

This is her life's work. Your support keeps it going.

Our Story

What began with one dog became a lifelong mission.

In Bang Saray (Bang Sare), Chonburi, Thailand, Ms. Uraiwan Kaeso — known to everyone as Aunt Khao — started doing what she could not stop herself from doing: helping the animals no one else would.

A dog too weak to stand. Then another. Then a hundred. Then a thousand. Today, Baan Saphan Boon — Bridge of Merit — is home to 1,200 rescued dogs. Every one arrived hungry, injured, sick, or abandoned. Every one stayed.

Every day, hundreds of kilograms of food are prepared. Vet care, vaccinations, and sterilization programs never stop. To sustain it all, Aunt Khao has sold personal possessions and devoted her life entirely to the animals. Her motivation has never changed.

I could not ignore the suffering of these animals. I simply wanted to help those that had no one else.
